Suckerbox

www.skratchmagazine.com - "Suckerbox Sucks...is an enjoyable pop-punk nugget." www.PunkRockReview.org - "This is catchy pop-punk straight out of the 90's!" www.pennyblackmusic.co.uk - "I have to mention however the fantastic Suckerbox..."
With their widely embraced first release entitled Suckerbox Sucks! produced way back in 2004 and the addition of their song "Wrong" featured as a standout on the majority of reviews for the Go-Kart Records. Indeed, no one has more fun than this trio of hard-hitting, hard-partying, old school knuckleheads who were formed in 2000 in the most unlikely of locations, the Cayman Islands. Dubbed "The Three Stooges" by the staff at The Cat Club on the Sunset Strip during their Fall 2005 California Nevada club tour, it's clear that these boys truly enjoy their work. With their roots embedded in reggae, hardcore, post hardcore, the beatles, punk, progressive rock, screamo and even 80's hair metal, the boys of Suckerbox like to deliver it hard and fast but with a lighter side of angst. The pop undertones of their music are infectious and raw and with their second release now available worldwide there really seems to be no stopping these lucky laid back s.o.b.'s! |
Suckerbox Sucks!

'Sucks!' isn't the island music your parents listened to on their Carnival Cruise honeymoon and it's probably the last style of music you would expect from a band based in the Cayman Islands (if you even know where that is!). Produced by the legendary Mass Giorgini (Screeching Weasel/Anti Flag/The Queers etc.) this inaugural offering from Suckerbox, with members hailing from Canada, South Africa and, of course, the Cayman Islands, is guaranteed to generate at least one "holy shit!" from anyone fortunate enough to enjoy this full length straight-from-the-coconuts compilation of pop-punk anthems for the very first time. |
